Lanterna is my graduation animated short film completed in April 2017 at Pratt Institute. It is set in Venice during the annual Carnevale and explores Venice’s culture of glass blowing, venetian masks, and gondola riding. The addition of magical glass lanterns that house fire sprites weaves itself into the City of Bridges and Canals, giving the film its fantastical setting. It is a story about questioning tradition, freedom and the importance of being true to yourself.

The film screened at the Orlando Film Festival in October 2017 and was one of the nominees for Best Animated Short.
